Submission of abstracts is now closed

The conference programme combines plenary keynote presentations on diverse energy themes during the mornings with devoted symposia in specialised fields in the afternoons. The afternoon plenary sessions will consist of short talks selected by a specialised review panel from the submitted abstracts.

Abstract Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be submitted via the link provided on this page, using the E2C template that can be downloaded here: [electronically doc 156KBodt 21KB]
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Abstracts must be a maximum of 500 words in length using the fonts indicated in the template.
  • Abstracts must fit on one A4 page.
  • Abstracts must not contain pictures or diagrams.
  • Abstracts must not contain symbols in the abstract title.
  • All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use.
  • Abstract editing is the responsibility of the author. Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar. All abstracts will be published as received.
  • Authors are advised that submission of an abstract does not constitute or guarantee registration for the conference. All delegates must register separately online.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed after the submission deadline (20 November) and you will be informed of the outcome in due course.

Submission Information

The European Energy Conference 2012 (E2C) is using EasyChair for the submission and review of abstracts and papers. Before being able to submit, you will need to create an EasyChair Account. This account will enable you to login at a later stage and change/ update your abstract or paper.

  • Go to: http://www.easychair.org/ . Click on “sign up for an account” and follow the EasyChair instructions to create your account. You will be asked to give your name and email. Once you filled out the form, EasyChair will send you an email with a link that you can use to create an account.http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=e2c2012
  • Check your mailbox and use the verification link to activate and set up your account.
  • Use your EasyChair account to sign in at: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=e2c2012
  • Click on ‘New Submission’ and fill out the submission form with information on:
  • Author and Co-Author(s). Please note that all listed co-authors will be notified by the system. Each co-author is able to update, edit or delete an abstract without prior consent from other co-authors.
  • Title and the short abstract/ description (200 words max.)
  • The E2C Symposia you would like to submit for (see programme for further information)
  • The career ‘group’ the main author belongs to (early-stage researcher, experienced researcher)
  • Abstract Keywords (minimum 3, maximum 10)
  • Upload your abstract using the upload box.Use the abstract template provided on the European Energy Conference Call for Abstracts Page for submission.
  • Use the “My Submissions” Menu at the top to manage your submissions. Here you can view, edit, update or delete your abstract.
